Intense Pulse Light Laser Treatments
How does Intense Pulse Light work?
Our Laser uses Intense Pulse Light to repair defects through a process called photorejuvenation.
Before and After Intense Pulse Light treatments – Sun/Age Spots and Fine lines and wrinkles
Before and After Intense Pulse Light treatments – Rosacea

Using this new laser, imperfections such as rosacea, superficial blood vessels, sun spots or age spots and other signs of aging can be gently eliminated, replaced by newer, younger looking skin. Each IPL treatment is gentle with no downtime. In fact, laser skin treatments for wrinkles and other signs of aging can be done during a lunch hour and no one will notice any sign of treatment, just a gradual improvement in the skin's appearance.
IPL delivers high intensity pulses of broadband light that is different from the narrow band light of lasers. IPL is non-ablative meaning that is does not damage the surface of the skin. The intense light is delivered to the deeper parts of the skin (dermis) and leaves the superficial aspect of the skin (epidermis) untouched. There are different versions of IPL available that target different structures in the skin such as vascular lesions (small spider veins) and vascular birthmarks, pigmented lesions such as melasma and age/sun spots.
As discussed above, IPL does not damage the skin surface therefore, there is virtually no recovery time. Treatments take approximately 30-45 minutes. Patients can apply a mineral makeup before leaving the office and return to work the same day. There is also minimal discomfort with IPL.
